Herdcount is developed by RT Sullivan Consulting Ltd, United Kingdom.
This policy describes what data the Herdcount app collects, uses, and shares. The short version: none.
Herdcount does not collect any personal data, usage data, or device information. The app has no network connection and no server. Nothing is transmitted anywhere.
Herdcount stores count records (label, category, count, notes, thumbnail, and timestamp) in a private local database on your iPhone. This data:
Herdcount requests access to your camera and photo library solely to let you select a photo for counting. Photos are processed on-device and are not stored beyond the thumbnail you see in your count history. No photos are uploaded or shared.
Herdcount uses no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or crash reporters. The only third-party component is the YOLOv8n machine learning model, which is bundled inside the app and runs entirely on-device.
Herdcount does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. No data is collected from any user.
If this policy changes in a future app update, the updated policy will be published at this URL and the "last updated" date above will change. We will not introduce data collection practices without updating this policy.
